POOR MANS DINNER
BY JOANNE FAJACK
This recipe was given to me by a very special friend Joanne Fajack of Younstown, Ohio.
I have change it a little for my family and you are welcome to do the same.
Enjoy
Here is the recipe really a fun one to make as you can change it so many ways.
1 tablespoon oil
1 pound of hot dogs (slicee about 3/4" thick
1 med. size onion sliced
salt, pepper, garlic, and Italian seasoning to taste.
3 to 4 med. potatoes peeled and sliced 1/2 thick
1 can of stewed tomatoes.
Place oil in a frying pan over med. heat. Add onions and
hot dogs cook until browned. add stewed tomatoes, two cans
of water and bring to a boil. Add seasoning to taste.
Reduce heat, add potaotes and simmer until potatoes are
tender and fluid is reduced to a sauce like thinkness.
Sometimes I have to add a little red wine. hee, hee.
Mostly I just wing this old dish.
